ABOUT KERRY
I became the councillor for the new Moseley Ward in 2018 and was re-elected in 2022. I grew up in Moseley, attending St Monica’s (as it was then) and am proud to represent such a vibrant, dynamic and diverse ward. I believe that it is the people of Moseley that makes it such a great ward to represent. Residents of Moseley look out for each other, come together in times of difficulty, and understand how much more we can achieve when we work together. Both myself and Moseley Labour share these same values and as your Labour councillor I will put these values into action every day.Â
Kerry Jenkins, Labour Councillor for Moseley
My priorities
- Safer Moseley – I will work hard to make Moseley streets safer. I will continue working with the Labour Police and Crime Commissioner and neighbourhood police teams to tackle crime and get more and police on our streets. I will work with our Labour Mayor, and our PCC alongside all partners to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour and improve road safety by challenging driving behaviours, championing road safety policies and active travel.
- Greener Moseley – I will work with all stakeholders to ensure services are delivered appropriately and efficiently, championing and developing sustainable options and working with all local groups and other partners to keep Moseley green.
- Cleaner Moseley – I will work with local depots to increase the roll out of appropriate refuse collection services for both residential and business waste. We need a zero tolerance approach to flytipping and I will work with community groups and other stakeholders to educate and tackle all types of irresponsible behaviour that ruins our neighbourhoods.
- Better Moseley – I will work with the Labour Council's relevant Cabinet Member and our local MP to tackle rogue landlords operating in the Homes of Multiple Occupancy (HMO) and Supported Exempt Accommodation sectors. Working with residents and local groups to both develop and implement a ward action plan that recognises the diverse nature of the ward and ensures regular engagement on issues that matter.
